Instructions

With the new Controller Manager in Traktor Pro 1.2.x it's important to setup your two 1D exactly like described (btw: if you're using a 13" or 15" MacBook or MacBook Pro, this is the only way to use two 1D and an USB audio interface):
  • Connect the right 1D (decks B and D) with the USB cable directly to your computers USB port.
  • Use a MIDI cable to connect the MIDI OUT of the left 1D (decks A and C) to the MIDI IN of the right 1D.
  • Use a self-powered USB hub or an USB power adapter for the left 1D (decks A and C), do NOT connect it with your computer via USB! As result the left 1D sends its MIDI signals through the right 1D to Traktor (daisy chain).
  • The left 1D (decks A and C) has to be set to send on MIDI-channel 1 and the second 1D (decks B and D) to channel 16. Both have to use MIDI Map 1!!! How to configure this is described in the User Guide for the XONE:1D.
  • When you import the TSI-file into Traktor pay attention that you check “MIDI Mapping” and “GUI LAYOUT”!
  • By switching to the layout “FULL / EDIT” the “BPM Edit Mode” (green on overlay) will be enabled. In this mode you can edit the Beatgrid/BPM in each deck by holding the dedicated Alt-button. To quit this mode switch to one of the other included layouts.
  • SHIFT at this time is only there for use with the unload command. I decided to configure it that way to protect ourselves from accidentally clear a deck by pressing just one button.
  • This mapping offers all the controls I use (i.e. I don’t need CUP or 4 FX-Units). If you use it as starting point for your own mapping and want to have edited overlays, you can contact me to get the original PSD-file.
  • Please also read the README.txt!

NOTE: This new TSI will not work with earlier versions than Traktor 1.2.2!
